Republic Day

On January 26, 2007, the Republic Day at our school began with prayer. Then the School Correspondent welcomed those attending and Corporation Bank Manager Mr. T. V. Lakshmi Narasiman unfurled the national flag. A marching exercise followed the hoisting of the national flag. Other guests attending the event were Tiruvannamalai Junior Chamber President Er. Nagarajan, Engineer College Professor Mr. A. Vijaikumar and school sponsor Mr. Roger Maybank from Canada.

Mr. T. V. Lakshmi Narasiman, Er. Nagarajan, Engineer College Professor Mr. A. Vijaikumar and our school English teacher Mr. S. Manikandan gave Republic Day speeches. After the National Anthem everyone was given lattu (a sweet).

Students exhibited their cultural talents in the Fancy Dress Competition. Corporation Bank Manager Mr. T. V. Lakshmi Narasiman, Mr. Roger Maybank and Mr. Joseph Kicken from the Netherlands were the judges for the competition. Also several guest dancers performed the Bharathanatyam dance for the enjoyment of the gatherers. Prizes were awarded to the performers by Ms. Leela Kalffors from Sweden, Mr. Roger Maybank, Mr. Joseph Kicken, Mr. T. V. Lakshmi Narasiman, Ms. Kamila from Poland, Ms. Josipha Strous from Netherlands, Ms. Maria from England, Mr. B. T. Sudhir from Kerala and Ms. Maria Garcia from Spain.
