Bhagavan’s Jayanthi Celebrated and Visit From School Supporters

On December 25, Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharishi’s Jayanthi was celebrated at the school. After Bhagavan’s photo was decorated with garlands at 7:00 a.m., students and teachers sang Bhagavan’s Aksharamanamalai; this was followed by prasadam. Then the free hostel and ninth-standard students went to Sri Ramanashram to feed the cows green leaves (Agathikeerai) and bananas. There they had Bhagavan’s prasadam. The students took great pleasure in participating in the event, which was arranged by a school supporter and devotee of Bhagavan.
 
On December 26, Mr. Andrew Zenoff, Founder of Day One, USA, and his friend Natalia Maldonado, a teacher from Spain, visited the school. The school correspondent and teachers warmly received them. While they were being given a tour of the classrooms, the students were completing their biannual examinations. Mr. Zenoff reviewed several of the papers and was very impressed with the students’ work. The guests later visited the new school site. Mr. Zenoff told the school correspondent that it was an excellent location for the school and assured his support for the new school building.
