Environmental
Awareness and Tree Saplings Planting Take Place at New School Site
On October 22 at 10:00 a.m.,
School Correspondent Mr. M. Karunanithi welcomed participants and
school well-wisher Mr. Eizho Tabuchi from Japan. The program was
presided over by Vengikkal Panchayat President Mr. A. K. Kumarasamy.
Tiruvannamalai
Matriculation Schools Inspector Mrs. A. Kalaiselvi was the keynote
speaker who gave an inspiring speech. She quoted former president
of India Mr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam, “Every student should
plant and protect at least five trees during their school years while learning
to read and write.”
Tiruvannamalai District Forest Ranger Mr. N Karunamurthy
expressed the earth’s need for trees. He explained about holes
in the ozone layer and how that affects global warming, adding that
the Tamil Nadu government encourages schools to plant trees to protect
the environment.
Then teachers, students and the guests participated
in planting tree saplings at the new school site. At the conclusion
of the event, snacks were served to all.
Your continued generosity
has been a great support in the fast construction of the new school.
Thank you.
