New School Construction Begins
On January 25, construction at the new school site began after Sekar,
the ashram priest, did a puja. The ground floor of 11 rooms, plus
boys and girls toilets, will be built first. To support the structure,
56 column foundations are being constructed (pictured).
The Indian National Festival
At 8:00 a.m. on January
26, Republic Day was celebrated in the new school site. M. Karunanithi,
the School correspondent, welcomed everyone, including the foreign
delegates, and also hoisted the national flag. Mr. Donald
O¹Brien (USA), Mr. Thomas Neymeyer (Germany), Ms. Elise Anne
(Canada), Mr. Joseph Kicken (Netherlands), Mr. and Mrs. Jean Revis
(Belgium) and Mr. Valere Revis (Belgium) participated
in the function, which included a student cultural program.
