Republic Day Celebrated
After the prayer, I presented the welcome address and garlanded all the guests with Sandal Flower Garland and honured with a Memento. House Introduction was done by the SPL of the school and then Indian National Flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest. Then Students did the March Past.
Meanwhile, at 10:00 AM the priest did Abhishekam to Srividya Ganapathi in the site. At 10:45 AM all the guests, teachers, students and parents worshiped Lord Ganesha and had Karpura Arathi. At 11:00 AM in the auspicious time the building works commenced with puja and putting a handful of concrete in the first column by everyone. All of them had biscuits, sweet (mysorepak) and prasadam. After the vote of thanks, the function ended with the National Anthem.

Republic Day of India was celebrated in the school on 26th January. Students, teachers and parents gathered at the new school site at 6:30 AM onwards. At the entrance of the new school site, our school children and the teachers welcomed the foreign well wishers of Mr. Joseph Kicken from Netherlands, Ms. Liz Cooper from UK, Ms. Ilona Kafkova from Czech Republic and our volunteer teacher Ms. Eve-Marie Gelinas from Canada. Later in the day, they welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Kandasubramanaian, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India, Tiruvannamalai and his colleagues from the bank.
When Chief Guest spoke to the students and he pointed that they should think of the future and for they had to prepare themselves. Then students’ amazing cultural programmes followed and made everyone happy. Mr. Joseph Kicken had given a performance to the students. In the month of September, students individually collected funds for an Association which supports poor children’s heart disease cure and for operation. Who collected more funds received medal, shield and certificates in this function.
