Work Progresses on New School Building; Visitors Welcomed
She visited our school on 15th February 2011 with Mrs. Pankaja Venugopal from USA, Secretary Ms. Ranjana Sengupta, Treasurer Dr. Shyamal Kanti Datta of Swami Lokeswarananda Smarak Seva Kendra from Kolkata. They went through every class and wondered the talent of the children. They went to the new school site and watched the building construction. Ms. Barbara assured at that time that her organization supported very less before but then onwards, it would be more. On 21st February 2011, our school well wisher and the fund raiser for our school Ms. Karina Stewart from Scotland visited our school. For the past three years, she did 108 times of Sun Salutation on the World Peace Day in Scotland and raised funds for our school. A special Abishekam was performed to Sri Vidya Ganapathi on that day. She participated in that. Then she watched the building construction. And she visited each class and had full satisfaction about the children’s learning. “Cultural Meet” function was celebrated in Hotel Arunai Anandha on 23rd February 2011. This was held to honour our well wisher Ms. Karina Stewart. This function started at 6:45 PM. Ms. Karina Stewart, Ms. Mira Bai from UK, her brother Mr. Steven from USA, Ms. Ilona from Czech Republic and an Economist Ms. Apolonija Bobnar from Slovenia, our school children, teachers and parents participated in this function. I welcomed all participants and honourd the guests with shalves and gifts. Children’s cultural program took place. All the audience enjoyed very much by children’s dance movements. Guests distributed prizes to the children. At the end guests had dinner. Ms. Apolonija Bobnar from Slovenia visited our school on 25th February. Ms. Mirabai from UK and Mr. Steven Caddy from USA visited our school and the building construction on 27th February. Our school well wisher and the website donor Mr. Ryan Shaw also visited the Building construction work on March 2nd 2011.

I am very happy to inform you about the progress of the school building work and the many well wishers visit. Surprisingly, I had received an email on 13th February from Ms. Barbara Piner, President of American Service to India from USA that she would visit our school in the next day. Even though I did not know her personally before, but from ASTI our school has been getting support, I identified her exactly in the Ashramam among more foreigners.
