God's Grace — The Big Work — Roof Concrete — Finished
Namaste,
Heartfelt Greetings!
India’s 65th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August at 8:00 AM in the new school site. Swami Shantananda Puri was the Chief Guest with some of his devotees in the celebration and unfurling of the National Flag. Swamiji spoke about the responsibilities of the children and blessed them. Swamiji handed over the prizes to the last year X Standard students who got I Rank, II Rank and III Rank in the Government Public Examination. Students March Fast and cultural programs took place in the celebration. It ended with National Anthem and distribution of sweets.
With the God’s Grace the roof concrete was finished. The first part was done on 17th August and the second part was done on 20th August. Two groups were engaged in the laying of concrete. Two mixing machines and two lifts were operated each day. In total, 75 men and women worked in the two groups each day. They worked from morning 9:00 to evening 7:00. A special lunch was arranged for all the people in these two days.
19 tons of steel, 970 bags of cements, 20 loads of sand and 20 loads of blue metals (stone chips) were used. Apart from the two groups, 6 masons and three men did the laying of concrete. Three women supplied water from the new tank by water pump machine. Bore well water was not sufficient, so three tanks of water were bought.
Roof concrete is the biggest work in the building construction, because more people are involved in this work, such as steel fitters and centering workers; the concrete mixtures required sand suppliers, water suppliers, blue metal suppliers and cements suppliers and so on. With the God’s Grace, the concrete roof was finished in two days. All was made possible only by obtaining private loans. Now funds are needed to clear the loans.
May Arunachala bless you all!
With Love,
Karuna.
Steel Structural Framework in Progress
Namaste,
Heartfelt Greetings!
Children are happily watching the progress of the new school building and they are very eager to get accommodation in the new classrooms.
Three fourths of the centering work has finished. Steel Structural Frame work also has started from the last Friday onwards. Beams steel structural frame work is going on. After this work, roof steel fittings will be done. This will take another one more week. Roof concrete will be done after finishing all these works.
15 tons of steel rods have been bought. But, still it is not enough. Another two or three tons of steel rods are required. Also, all of the work is being accomplished by obtaining loans from private persons.
Om Namo Ramana.
Yours,
Karuna
